25 November 2007 - International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women

The moto for the international day 2007 was “Demanding Implementation, Challenging Obstacles: End Violence against Women”. A campaign of the Council of Europe provided material and SRC/FSM organised an international poster exhibition from 22 November to 30 November. ‘Moldova Mall’ was a sponsor by providing the exhibition space, situated in the centre of Iasi city.

One of the international partners was Terre de Femmes Germany, providing Campaign flags (in three languages) and Films which were screened for school classes. A total of 200 youth and their teachers attended the screening and the discussion about the films. In this campaign also the Iasi City Police was also involved.
